The Hirer should inform the nearest police
station and take all necessary legal steps, which is
required by the MotorTraffic Act of Sri Lanka. There after
the Hirer should notify KRCS of the accident.
The Hirer shall bear the cost of towing the
vehicle to a garage nominated by KRCS
The Hirer shall endorse by signing all
documents to enable KRCS to obtain all claims from the
outcome of the accident.
KRCS shall not be liable to
indemnify the Hirer against any loss, injury or damage sustained
by any accident &/or by any third party consequent to the use
of the vehicle during the period &/or consequent to any defect
in the vehicle.
Can I driver under the influence of Alcohol, drug or medication?
NO! It is illegal to drive under the influence of
any Alcohol or drug, Damages arising to due to the consequent of
this will be your liability (un-limited)
What are the general road rules I have to know?
Drive on the left hand side of the road. Overtake on the right.
By law, seatbelts must be worn in the front and rear.
50 kmph in built up areas.
Give way to traffic coming from the right at roundabouts.
Major roads have priority over minor roads. A white line painted across the road means stop and give way to major roads ahead.
